My 'Staycation'/'Holistay' Essentials for 2019

My 'Staycation'/'Holistay' Essentials for 2019

I love to travel, I’ve learned to appreciate a good staycation over the years. Let’s be honest, travelling can sometimes be exhausting. Have you ever felt that you needed a vacation after a vacation? But firstly let's discuss what is staycation?

Staycation

Before I jump into discussing my staycation essentials list, let’s discuss for a minute what I mean by staycation. I’m sure you’d be aware that the term itself is a blend of the words ‘stay’ and ‘vacation’. Some define ‘staycations’ as holidays spent in one’s own country, whereas others by ‘staycation’ mean when you have time off work, but decide to stay at home (to do some renovation, long-forgotten housework, or just chill).

Staycations allow you to experience your home city from a different point of view, getting to know new areas and neighborhoods. Depending on where you decide to spend your staycation, you may choose a hotel with a spa or a very nice restaurant, or a place that it walking distance from a theater or cinema, for example. Ultimately, I think to relax and indulgence are the main reasons to go on a staycation.

From Manchester to lake district in the UK, I am just a short drive away from the lakes and beautiful sceneries of mother nature, also, we have a handful of theme parks to choose from nearby. Spring is one of my favorite seasons for staycations as the whole UK is blooming with beautiful and colorful flowers and hilltops are covered with green carpets. When I’m getting ready for our staycation there are a few Spring staycation essentials that I absolutely have to have.

Hidden Hormone Disruptors In Beauty Products Might Be Behind Your Bad Skin (And Health)

When it comes to trying to be healthy, we’re pretty clued up on what we’re putting into our bodies. We know that junk and processed food is bad for us, and anything that’s been sprayed with pesticides could probably do with a good rinse before we eat it. But do you know the real effects of what you’re putting on your body? Turns out, our favourite everyday beauty products might be secretly packed with ingredients that are actually wreaking havoc with our hormones. Your endocrine system i.e. the system in which all of your hormones are secreted into the blood, is affected by everyday toxins and pollutants. These pollutants trick our hormones into acting in different ways than they’re naturally supposed to behave— and so they’re called ‘endocrine disruptors’. These changes to your hormones can cause anything from irregular periods, hormonal breakouts and (in very extreme cases) birth defects, illnesses and cancer. Yikes. Perfumes, Scents, and Fragrances is a way to express one's personality. Everyone has their own various choice of scent which is related to their personality. My husband is very fond of scents and perfumes. Ha has a huge collection of different itars, perfumes, colognes, etc and honestly most of the time I am using his perfumes (I like all his collection of fragrances ;) ). I like the scents which are more intense and I think men's fragrances are more intense than women. We both are fond of musk and woody smells. Before sharing my favorite perfumes, I want to share some of the tips of getting the perfect perfume which suits your personality: Use a tester before you buy the whole bottle Don’t waste your money on an Eau de Toilette, their smell fades quickly.
